About these image tools
Most online image tools work by uploading your file to a server, processing it there and handing back a link. That is fine for a stock photo and a poor idea for a passport scan or an unreleased product shot.
The tools here use the browser's own canvas engine instead. The file is read from disk into memory, transformed locally and offered back as a download. It never touches the network, which is also why they keep working if your connection drops once the page has loaded.
Working this way sets real limits, and they are better known up front than discovered halfway through a job. The formats available are whatever your browser can decode, so a camera RAW file will not open and AVIF support depends on how current the browser is. Anything re-encoded through a canvas is also rebuilt from its pixels alone, so the metadata block does not survive — that strips EXIF including GPS coordinates, which is usually welcome before publishing a photo and a genuine loss if you needed the capture data. Keep the original either way.
